Perfectly designed: A new kind of foundation was used for this carport on a gravel company car park. Using techniques from special ground construction, Sunselex fitted the concrete foundations using micropiles which reduces the foundation size drastically for efficient use of space. Once again the use of flexible teams has proven successful: Whilst one team constructed the foundation, the next team could start with the carport construction.

Towards the sun: At 1,500 meter height, on the grounds of a former military installation, this plant at the foothills of the Rhone-Alps provided us with a great challenge. All holes had to be drilled and the fittings of the sub-structure had to be carried out with concrete shaft rings due to the rocky terrain. We even continued the installation during heavy snowfall to meet the agreed completion date. And the result speaks for itself.

Fresh on the grid: This solar project on the island of Corsica got a lot of attention and went live on the grid in August 2010. With a performance of 7.71 MWp this is the first solar park on the French Mediterranean island and one of the largest in France. And once again Sunselex faced a challenge: rocky ground and a terrain slope of up to 10 degree were mastered perfectly.

Fast power: Sunselex's team could demonstrate their performance when building the solar park Lieberose, north of Cottbus on a former military training area. In a record construction time of only 10 months, it constructed the second largest photovoltaic plant in the world in 2009. It was part of a model project to re-naturalise military properties and the plant produces today about 53 million kWh clean power per year. This corresponds to the requirements of approx. 15,000 households.

Sustainability for a region in transition: Sunselex installed a plant consisting of 4,000 thin layer modules which produce a performance of 250 kWp on the approx. 2,000 meter high Mont Jali at the edge of Rwanda's capital Kigali. The energy flows here on several levels: Generated surplus is to be invested in new projects in Rwanda. This can help to support positive developments in Africa.
